EECA's story began in September 1982 when a small group gathered in an apartment to pray and worship. Over the decades, God provided places to gather, leaders to serve, families to build community, and opportunities to share the Gospel.
Our journey
1982
A small group begins praying and worshiping together in Atlanta.
Early growth
Local churches provide space as the Ethiopian evangelical community grows and children's ministry becomes possible.
A home of our own
EECA acquires its first church property on Fellowship Road.
2011
EECA acquires a larger Stone Mountain property, opening a new chapter of ministry.
Today
One church serving multiple generations through worship, discipleship, community, children and students, outreach and mission.
The next chapter
Operation Nehemiah is strengthening EECA for generations to come.
